The Great Northern
San Francisco
The Great Northern is a dance music venue at 119 Utah Street in San Francisco. Its programme provides a continuing home for electronic bookings, with local hosts and visiting artists appearing across the calendar. The venue's own ticket links and promoter announcements are the useful route into the individual nights taking place there. Techno and house are documented through events featuring Woo York, Mioli and Maceo Plex, among other bookings. Those examples show different approaches within the electronic programme, from an artist-centred appearance to a hosted party with its own supporting lineup. The date and host matter when choosing a session, since the venue is not defined by one recurring bill alone. Check the specific event for doors, finish and admission information. Some public directories describe a generic late-night schedule, but a complete current operator timetable has not been confirmed. Follow the venue announcement for the chosen date, particularly when attending a longer production or an event with additional daytime activity.
