Südpol is one of Hamburg’s most important alternative electronic culture spaces, located in an old building complex near the Billekanal in Hammerbrook. Its programme centers on electronic music and alternative parties, ranging from regular techno nights to queer events, downtempo formats, punk concerts and cinema. The venue has a strong cultural and community identity, with a no-photo and no-video rule that protects the atmosphere on the floor. Südpol should be a core RaveMeApp venue because it represents the kind of place where electronic music is not just entertainment, but part of a broader subcultural ecosystem. It should feel raw, open-minded, long-form and deeply Hamburg.
