SPKRBOX
Detroit
SPKRBOX is a coffee shop, bar and electronic music venue at 200 Grand River Avenue in downtown Detroit. The operator describes a daytime neighbourhood gathering place that becomes a techno bar at night, connecting everyday social use with a continuing music programme. Both parts belong to the same venue rather than separate locations. Techno and house are documented in its bookings, with the operator emphasising regular evening music alongside its coffee and drinks offering. The setting allows an earlier visit to develop into a later session, although the lineup and host still determine the musical character of a particular date. Its own website brings together events, bar information and current venue contacts. SPKRBOX publishes daily opening hours covering the whole operation, from daytime coffee through late bar service. Those hours do not mean DJs perform continuously throughout the day. Check the specific music announcement for the start of the session, its artists and any entry arrangements before planning a dance-focused visit.
