Klub Monokel
Ljubljana
Klub Monokel is a lesbian and queer club operated by ŠKUC-LL in Ljubljana's Metelkova complex. The operator explicitly welcomes the wider LGBTIQ+ community and publishes an anti-discrimination policy, making its social purpose central to the venue rather than a decorative theme. Electronic DJ nights are part of a wider programme of community and cultural activity. The calendar includes local selectors, visiting artists and collaborations such as Major Arcana. Current listings span techno, bass, broken beats and more exploratory electronic work, depending on the artists booked. The club is a distinct space from neighbouring Tiffany, even though both belong to the same wider cultural area. Use Monokel's own programme to choose a night and read its access details. Community gatherings and club events have different starting times, so neither the hours of the whole Metelkova complex nor a nearby venue's timetable should be treated as this club's opening schedule.
