Kaiku is an electronic music club in a former factory building on Kaikukatu in Helsinki. Local selectors and international guests share a programme in which house and techno recur across the calendar. The industrial history gives the venue a concrete setting within the city's club scene, while the bookings make music the reason to visit. Club nights can programme more than one room, with different artists assigned to each space. The running order therefore matters as much as the headline: checking the full announcement shows which selections are happening alongside one another and how the night is organised. Kaiku asks guests to put phones away on the dance floor and respect other people's personal space. That policy extends to the privacy of fellow dancers.
