Eighteenth Street Lounge
Washington, D.C.
Eighteenth Street Lounge is a music venue currently located at 1230 9th Street Northwest in Washington, D.C.'s Shaw neighbourhood. It carries the ESL identity at this present address, with its own calendar, drinks information and recurring entertainment schedule. The venue's location is different from the former Eighteenth Street premises associated with its name. House is a documented part of the programme through nights such as Elements of House, alongside other DJ and live-music sessions. The operator emphasises a range of artists and styles, so the specific event is the useful guide to the evening's direction. Recurring hosts and visiting performers give individual nights their character within the same lounge setting. The website advertises evening activity on several days but leaves some midweek closing times open-ended. Check the current schedule for the selected party and its actual music times. When planning travel, use the Shaw address on 9th Street, rather than an older listing for the venue's former location.
