Doornroosje is Nijmegen's main pop venue and a long-running youth-culture institution, active since 1968. The official site describes it as the city's main pop venue for over 50 years, with programming across pop, rock, hip hop, techno, metal and jazz, and its genre filters include electronic, house, techno, drum and bass, disco and hardcore. Resident Advisor also lists Doornroosje as an active Nijmegen venue with electronic and club events. This should stay mixed by default: it is not a pure underground techno club, but it is still too important to drop from the registry because it hosts serious electronic programming, bigger club nights and touring live-electronic acts.
